About the Moving Mesa Table Moving Mesa tables are hand made by Charlie Bradley in Taos, New Mexico. The standard table is available with a surface height of 16", 17", or 18". Tables with custom heights can be built to order. The area of the table surface is 75" x 33". The table's foam cushioned surface is protected by a vinyl covering with an anti-bacterial/microbial coating. The vinyl covering is available in your choice of 31 different colors. Furniture-grade oak and maple plywood are used in the table's construction, providing stability in the base and assuring a flat surface. "Having been on several different tables in the training, I feel very secure on the Moving Mesa, as if I were actually lying on the floor!" - Israel Sostrin, Trainee, Santa Fe Professional Feldenkrais® Training Program Hand-made stools are also available in matching heights, and can be used as table extensions for taller clients or to support limbs which may not want to stay on table. The total weight of the Moving Mesa table, one stool and carrying bags is approximately 45 pounds. Two carrying bags are suggested to easily transport the system - the bags can accommodate one table and up to two stools. If carrying bags are ordered, the table will be shipped in them to clearly demonstrate the packing technique. Charlie Bradley has been living in Taos for nine years and has been in the construction industry since graduating high school in 1984. He has built everything from custom homes to cabinets to custom furniture. He has been receiving Functional Integration® lessons and taking Awareness Through Movement® classes since 1994 with Priscilla Winslow, now Prisca Winslow Bradley, whom he married in June of 1998. He is currently attending the Santa Fe Professional Feldenkrais® Training Program. The table design, created by Jean Pierre Martin of Montreal Canada, himself a Feldenkrais® practitioner, was purchased by Charlie Bradley along with all manufacturing and marketing rights.
